Lord Kubera comes from family tress of Lord Brahma. He is the son of Vishrava and Illavida. Vishrava also married the demon princess Kaikesi, who mothered four children: Ravana, Kumbhakarna, Vibhishana and Surpanakha. So Lord Kubera is also the half-brother of Ravana.Kuber is regarded as the god of wealth, in Hindu mythology.Kubera is married to Kauberi (कौबेरी) and they have four children. Three sons are called Nalakubara, Manigriva, Mayuraja and a daughter called Meenakshi. Devi Kauberi is also known as Yakshi, Bhadra and Charvi. Lord Kubera is also known as the god of yakshas (savage beings). Kubera is always remembered with the goddess of fortune, Lakshmi. कुबेर मन्त्र – विनियोग – ॐ अस्य मन्त्रस्य विश्रवा ऋषि:, वृहती छन्द:, कुबेर: देवता, सर्वेष्ट-सिद्धये जपे विनियोग:। ऋष्यादि-न्यास – विश्रवा-ऋषये नम: शिरसि, वृहती-छन्दसे नम: मुखे, कुबेर-देवतायै नम: हृदि। सर्वेष्ट-सिद्धये जपे विनियोगाय नम: सर्वांगे। षडग्-न्यास कर-न्यास  अग्-न्यास ॐ यक्षाय  अंगुष्ठाभ्यां नम: हृदयाय नम: ॐ कुबेराय  तर्जनीभ्यां स्वाहा शिरसे स्वाहा ॐ वैश्रवणाय मध्यमाभ्यां  वषट् शिखायै वषट् ॐ धन-धान्यधिपतये अनामिकाभ्यां हुं कवचाय हुं ॐ धन-धान्य-समृद्धिं मे कनिष्ठिकाभ्यां वौषट् नेत्र-त्रयाय वौषट् ॐ देही दापय स्वाहा  करतल करपृष्ठाभ्यां फट्  अस्त्राय फट् ध्यान – मनुज बाह्य विमान स्थितम्, गरूड़ रत्न निभं निधि नायकम्। शिव सखं मुकुटादि विभूषितम्, वर गदे दधतं भजे तुन्दिलम्।। मन्त्र – “ॐ यक्षाय कुबेराय वैश्रवणाय धन-धान्याधिपतये धन-धान्य-समृद्धिं मे देहि दापय स्वाहा।´´ उक्त मन्त्र का एक लाख जप करने पर सिद्धि होती है।
